Made it to Livermore, CA yesterday afternoon. Matt and Cynthia have a lovely apartment here. I'm hoping to go into San Francisco today and check out the golden gate bridge. Also, I think i'm starting to become addicted to Jerry Springer. I'm convinced that the whole thing is fake... Cynthia cooked Prawns last night. I think it's the first time i've ever had them. 10/03/00
Took a walk through Davis, CA today -- that's where i've been staying over the last few days. Just finished watching the Presidential Debate. I think I'll vote for Ralph Nader. No, actually I still have no idea who I'm voting for, and don't feel like thinking about it until i get in the booth. that's been my tradition and i'm sticking to it. Tomarrow I'll be travelling out to Livermore, CA. It looks like at least a two hour drive. I dont know what I'm doing Thursday, but Friday should be a lovely evening in San Fran. 10/02/00
Finally got a key so i can go to Muir Woods today. The door here doesnt lock unless you have the key, which is a good thing because then you can't lock yourself out. Anyway, i won't go into that whole story, let's just say that things worked out and i got my own key for a couple days. So I travelled down to Muir Woods National Monument. If you want to know more about the monument you may click here. Basically it took me about 2 hours to drive to it, i stayed for about 2 hours, and drove 2 hours back. I stuck some pictures of it up here. I was thinking about going into San Fran., but will do that soon enough, and walking through the forest tired me out. I started up this trail that had a sign in front of it saying, "this is a steep incline" and told me to allow 2 hours to hike up 1.8 miles. I said to myself, "hey i can do that, i've done trails similar to this before" and proceeded. Needless to say the previous trails like that i had traversed a few years ago, and i am not in the shape i was then. (note to self: gotta quit smoking soon) so about 5 minutes later i was walking back down again. I told myself it was because i wasn't wearing Hiking shoes. That made me feel better. I got in touch with Matt tonight. Hope to hook up with him on Wednesday. I still want to visit a friend in San Fran with Warren, I might have to go convince him to do that now. So far the trip has been fun. I hope to visit Alcatraz on Saturday, and before that I want to walk the Golden Gate Bridge. So far I have only seen it from a distance. chow for now... 10/01/00
Not doing much today. warren went down to a pub to watch the Redskins play. I'm not interested in seeing that so just gonna upload a couple pictures and chill out. tomarrow i plan on visiting Muir Woods and possibly the Golden Gate Bridge. Supposedly you can put a bunch of quarters in somewhere and park, and take a stroll accross the bridge. that would be alot of walking to do both of those in one day, so i think i'll just pick one. After driving Warren to Sacremento to run an arrend, we drove down to San Fran. I wanted to see Haight-Ashbury. That place is a little crazy and strange and cool and weird, with hippy's and punks and freaks all co-existing on the same street... we walked up and down Haight street a couple times, and finally decided to eat at a place called Magnolia, about one block off the famous intersection. It was really delicious. I was ammused to see a Ben and Jerrys Ice cream store on the corner of haightashbury. I guess i didnt know what to expect there, but certainly not a ben and jerrys. As we strolled the Haight I noticed lots of retro clothes shops, dead-head shops, head shops, restaurants, and a great big music store called Ameoba, which sells just about any style of music you can think of. If i had a couple thousand dollars burning a hole in my pocket, i think i wouldve spent most of it there. but i held back and didnt buy anything. I think i'll have to revisit the area again before i leave... Before we left we had walked all the way down Haight street to Golden Gate Park. it was surreal. A twenty-something kid offered to sell me some Hash as we're walking in. I'm sure it would've been good stuff but i don't do that anymore. bad for the lungs and all (hehe) 09/29/00
arrived in California. the plane flew in over the water and as it started to land at San Francisco International, looked like we were about to turn into a boat rather than a plane. the waves just got closer and closer until we were about 30 feet up and i finally saw land outside the window again. I haven't flown on many airplanes but that was definatly the kewlest landing I've ever experienced. after a few minutes walking through the airport by following other passengers I found the baggage claim area. several minutes later it was on to find the rental car places. Turns out that you have to take a shuttle around the airport that stops at each terminal, then drives around for ten minutes to some other building where the car places are. I got talked into a 'five dollar a day' upgrade and i am driving a Kia Sportage. It's a nice little truck, but i dont know that i'd want to own one. I arrived at Warrens place in Davis, CA in one piece after a 90 minute drive northeast. We went and had some pizza at a place called 'Woodstock' and then i pretty much zapped out after that. 09/16/00

finally adding more music. Am going through all my old 4-track tapes before they deteriorate, or my 4 track breaks whichever may come first. I finally got around to messing with javascript. so far changes are limited to the coordinates section. If it doesn't work for you feel free to complain. make sure you include info in the complaint such as what type of machine you have and what browser yer using. each submission will be carefully read and immediatly discarded. complaints about complaints not being responded to will also be discarded. at the end I expect to have a royal flush :-) 02/14/00
Well, we all survived the y2k bug. I added a new section with streaming video.please let me know if you have trouble seeing the "movie". I have included 1 stream for people with normal dial up connections,and one for people with high bandwidth (i.e. DSL, Cable Modem or better). 12/06/99
